JCPS Whole Kids Foundation Grant 2016-2017
A "Taste" of Mindfulness
This grant offers all Jefferson County Public School Health Education teachers the opportunity to attend continuing education workshops on mindfulness-based approaches to health education, specifically looking at the intersection of mindfulness training, food & culture, mental/emotional wellness, and expanding the content of a traditional nutrition unit to a more holistic view of how we nourish ourselves. A mindfulness-based approach to nutrition allows a person to slow down and be present to their choices, reduces stress, and helps to establish a healthy relationship to food.
