Sharing Mindfulness with Kids/Teens: Workshop for Professionals with Shelly Sowell, M.Ed., LPCC
“Mindful awareness teaches us to pay close attention to our inner and outer worlds with a kind and compassionate perspective. It helps us manage stress by becoming more aware of how we navigate through life -- physically, emotionally and intellectually. When we learn to recognize how we feel on the inside, we can see the outside clearly and stay steady during life's ups and downs. These transformative qualities help everyone become happier, more resilient and more compassionate.”
– Susan Kaiser Greenland, Author of The Mindful Child, Founder of Inner Kids Foundation
Integrating mindfulness-based life skills into a healing/supportive process with kids can
create profound shifts in the child's growth and their ability to cultivate safety & connection.
